Year 4 moved the strawberry plants so we were clear to plant some daffodil and allium bulbs in our new cut-flower bed.
Year 6 planted tulip bulbs and garlic and applied a new layer of compost to the beds to replenish the soil. They showed high levels of independence, reading the instructions carefully, estimating depth and spacing and showing knowledge of the months and seasons.
Year 1 sowed broad bean seeds, learning how to use tools correctly as well as estimating and measuring depth.
Reception class sowed flower seeds into the cut-flower bed - zinnias, cosmos, scabious and poppies - and learned the correct way to water.
Nursery children sowed bean, sweetcorn and cucumber seeds, following verbal instructions for depth and width carefully.
