This Summer Term our topic is

Blue Planet!

We have come to our final term in Year 3! What a year we have had.

Over the past half term, the children have been busy discussing lots of exciting ideas about what they would like to do during the Summer term for our topic. 

Here are some of the ideas they have come up with: 

"What are the layers of the ocean called?"

"What sea animals live in the different layers?"

"What do sharks eat?"

"I want to make my own product out of rubbish."

"I want to make my own sea creature."

Over the past few weeks we have been exploring all the beautiful wonders of our oceans. We have covered topics such as sea animals, food chains and plastic pollution! 

We are having so much fun and can't wait to learn more.

This Spring term our topic is 

Exploration and Discovery!

In our Pupil Voice sessions the children have thought of lots of fantastic ideas and questions they would like to explore in this topic!

Here are some of their ideas:

"What did the Egyptians invent and discover?"

"Did pirates live in Wales?"

"How did pirates read maps in the olden days?"

"Can we learn about famous explorers?"

"Are there any famous explorers from Wales?"

This Autumn term our topic is 

Globetrotting!

At the start of this term the children thought of lots of lovely ideas that they wanted to learn about based on our topic.

Here are some of their ideas:

"What are the different continents in the world?"

"How many languages are used in the world?"

"What famous buildings are there around the world?"

"What different animals live in different parts of the world?"

We have had so much fun in this topic! We have been very busy travelling all over the world! 

Here are some of the places we visited: 

• Asia
• Africa
• South America
• Europe

We travelled from the depths of the Amazon Rainforest to the beautiful blossom trees of Japan! 

We have created art inspired by Picasso, made and tasted our own spring rolls and even learnt how to play the drums to a traditional African song called 'Siyahamba'!
