Snack - It would be great if each child could bring a healthy snack to school. Fruit, vegetables or yoghurt would be perfect!

Welcome to our page! This is where we will show you all of the fun and exciting things that we've been learning about so far this year.

Our Spring term topic is 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles'.

We will be learning about different types transportation and their evolution through time, the history of early flight pioneers such as Amelia Earhart and the Wright Brothers and we will also be designing creating our own moving cars during our D&T lessons.

Here is what we've been up to this term.

Our Autumn term topic is "Out & About".

At the start of this term we thought of lots of ideas that we could explore during our topic. We wrote all of our ideas down and stuck them on our Pupil Voice wall. Each week we pick an idea from the wall and have lots of fun finding things out about it.

Some of our Pupil Voice ideas included:

• Can we turn our classroom into a cafe?
• Can we bake some cakes to sell in our cafe?
• Can we go to a shop?
• Can we make a map?
• Can we go for a picnic?
• Can we build a lighthouse like the one at Roath Park?

So far we have written shopping lists, written recipes, created our own cafe in our role play area and created a map of our school playground. We even took a trip up to the local shop to buy the ingredients to make cupcakes. (We took our shopping list with us, of course).
