This spring term, our learning will focus on exploring our Welsh heritage and how it has shaped life in Wales, both past and present. We will begin by learning about important Welsh symbols and traditions, including national celebrations and cultural events, helping the children to develop a sense of pride in Wales and its identity.
The children will also study the history of coal and mining in Wales, discovering how this industry played a significant role in the lives of many families and communities. Alongside this, we will explore the development of transport and how it supported industry and everyday life.
As the term progresses, our learning will move on to heritage in Victorian times, where the children will compare life in Wales during the Victorian era with life today, gaining an understanding of how society, work and daily living have changed over time.
