This term our topic is 'In Ancient Times'

During this topic we will be learning about the Romans and the Celts. We have been very excited for this topic as we love learning about History! 

In our Pupil Voice session we discussed what we would like to learn. Some of our ideas are: 

• Where did the Celts and Romans live?
• What did they like to eat? 
• Can you go and visit somewhere the Celts and Romans went?
• How did the Romans become so powerful?
• Who were the leaders of the Celts and Romans?
• What did they do in their spare time? 

During Spring Term 1, we have been looking closely at the Celts and have compared their lives to our own. We found out they lived in roundhouses and even painted our faces just like the Celtic warriors! 

As we started to find out more about the Romans, we have been learning about their diets, their daily lives and what made them so successful. 

We have been very busy in our outdoor learning area. We have built chariots in our den building area, made different Roman meals in our mud kitchen and have even tried dying different materials using berries and vegetables we collected outdoors.
