In Ancient Times

This term our topic is all about 'The Celts and the Romans'

We held a pupil voice session before the topic and these are the ideas the children came up with:

• Where did the Celts live?
• What did the Romans and Celts eat?
• Why did the Romans fight?
• I would like to find out about the clothes the Romans wore
• I would like to find out about what sports the Romans played

The children showed a particular interest in The Cetic and Roman army, so we have been exploring the area closely examining: 

• What weapons did the Celts use against the Romans?
• How was the Roman army formed and organised?
• Why is the Roman army so well known?
• What the Celtic and Roman warriors/soldiers wore in battle
